How To Change Effective From Date for Project Key Members

Hi All,

We are having a problem that when copying a project the key members are not copied.  I found the reason to be because the Effective From Date is causing the issue that if it is before the hire date then they are not copied.  As a result, I would like to know if I can change the effective from date on the key members screen through the front end.  I found the field in the database that I can update, but we do not want to rely on doing a database update to correct this.

Please see attachment for the field in question.  The database field is pa_project_parties.start_date_active.
