Mobile Platform Recommendations

We are planning on developing several mobile applications leveraging orchestrations on the back end to perform the logic.  Is there a recommended/preferred platform we should be using for the front end?  I know Oracle has Mobile Application Framework but given the latest news on mobile application support for E1, we are not sure if that would still be supported going forward.  Any suggestions, recommendations, or information would be much appreciated.  We are looking for a solution that can play well with all mobile operating systems.
