add new column into existed custom table.. how about the business view

Hi :

sorry I am new in JDE and need some advice.   I am about to add new column into a custom table throught the TDA.  I was told I need to regenerate the table in TDA ( will lost data ), I am ok with that.  But do I also need to regenerate the indexes? how about the business view on this table?  Do I need to "generate" the BV too?  How to do it?  As of today, there is UBE is using this business view and table, will any action ( re generate ?? ) is required on the UBE too?
