Changing Pay Frequency on Pay Group Mid Year

Hi,

We currently have a group of EEs who we pay Monthly and are looking to change their pay frequency from Monthly to Semi-Monthly.  We are thinking to do this change on the second payroll of the year, by changing the Paygroup setting for Pay Frequency.  I have read discussions on the support portal that states we should always create a new paygroup and move all the EEs into that new paygroup when doing this.  From the information I could gather, the primary reason for concern is so that taxes and work periods, along with various other payroll elements forcefully pick
