Reverse Selection on Finder Results

When user selects a few records on any finder results, then click on the checkbox in header, previous version of system will select those previously unselected records.

However in latest release, instead of selecting previously unselected records, system selects all. User didn't like the new behavior.

Is there a property to control this behavior?
