Does exist some inconvenient to change batch type from N to O?

Currently we use product data activity  transaction R47121 with amount and whitout units  for increase product cost on cardex  and it creates batch type N correctly , but user wants to change it to type O. My question is if there is some inconvenient to change batch type from N to O?
