Net Price Calculation Login if promotional price adjustment is present

We have many products where we have updated the price at the promotion level by using promotional price adjustment . But for those records I can see that only net price is getting updated and there is no value in discount amount or discount % or price override . The Net prices gets calculated from the WF  “Pricing Procedure - Calculate Net Price” where it has steps to check for promotional price and update the net price.

For example if I buy “Plan A”, it the “Prod 1” that has an Adjustment Type as “Discount Amount” and value as “5”  . So when the Promotion is added in the Order the Product “Prod 1” has ADJ_UNIT_PRI as $0.00 as its defined in the price list with the value as $0.00. The net price is updated to -5 as per the WF “Pricing Procedure - Calculate Net Price” but why the Discount Amount is not updated to 5 , do we have any idea of the same why only net price gets updated.
