Processing Constraints - Cannot update system constraints

Hi and thanks for help!

R12.1.3 - Property Manager

Nav      Setup / Rules / Security Constraints

Form   OEXPCFWK

In some cases we have had to update the Sales Order Line Request Date after the line was Pick Released.

To do this we had to disable the Processing Constraint

Application     Order Management

Entity               Order Line

Attribute         Request Date

Validation Template         Pick Released

This worked OK .

BUT if we try the same thing for the Validation template      Ship Confirmed, the system does not let us disable that line.

Can you please confirm if there is a way round this or are system enabled constraints not allowed to be updated?
