Out of memory error in smart view when trying to open a strategic modeling model, any ideas on what

I'm trying to implement strategic modeling as part of EPBCS in our test workspace.  I am able to connect and see our models, but when I open them I receive an "Out of Memory" error.  My coworker is trying to connect and receives the same error message.
