Step by step procedure to upgrade oracle 12c rac/12.1.0.2 db to RAC 18c/18c database

Hi all,

Good day

Looking for upgrading RAC 12c to 18c

Currently we are on - Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 7.4 (Maipo) with the  kernel version  3.10.0-957.5.1.el7.x86_64 .

Looking for the following

1. Kindly provide the step by step procedure /document to upgrade oracle 12c rac/12.1.0.2  db to RAC 18c/18c database .

2.Is it good idea to upgrade RAC to 18c and the databases to 12.2.0.X ( Since the  vendor  looking for 12.2.0 database for the application).Will they be any issues ? ( like patching etc)
