New Processing option on P4210 commitment tab in 9.2

This is about the new processing option on P4210 processing option # 5 on the 5-Commitment tab.

Question: As the name suggests, it comes into play only the line splits at order entry. Is this correct? 

For example, when a entire order cannot be fulfilled and therefore at the time of sales order entry, the order splits into a Backorder line, this backorder quantity is soft committed or hard committed based on this new processing option, is that correct?

This new processing option does not come in play or does not work when the Back Order Release programs P42117 or R42118 partially releases the back order, later R42997 splits the line, Is this correct?
