Known Performance Issues Migrating from Solaris to Oracle Enterprise Linux

We are preparing to migrate from legacy Sun Sparc Solaris servers (Solaris 10) to Oracle Enterprise Linux machines running as virtual machines.  I've been advising baking into the project timeline time for performance testing against business critical applications in the new environment and get push back for specific examples of known performance issues.  I obviously don't see published examples from say MetaLink, so I wanted to reach out to others who have done such a migration and solicit real world examples of any surprises or examples of performance issues that required either SQL tuning or parameter adjustment in spite best
