Demantra 12.2.4 engine and Windows Server compatability

We are currently running Demantra 12.2.4 on an application server that is Windows Server 2012 R2.

We have a distributed engine setup and the engine servers are running Windows Server 2008 R2.

We need to upgrade the Windows version since support for 2008 R2 is ending. With extended support ending for Windows Server 2012 R2 ending in the year 2023 I would like to move the engine servers to something higher than 2012 R2.

Would the engine servers work on Windows Server 2016 or higher? I'm asking specifically for the distributed engines only, not the application server where BM and Engine Admin are located, that I would leave on 2012 R2.
