Consigned Inventory for Expense Items

Hi .

We are on 12.2.6 and want to use consigned inventory for consummables(expense items).As per the user guide we cannot have the consigned items setup as expense(inventory asset flag disabled) so I believe they have to be setup as inventory items and received into subinventory(designated for consigned inventory) and either move it an expense subinventory or issue it out to an expense account when we decide to consume it.

Has anyone tried using consigned inventory feature with items that are consumed internally(expensed)?
