Unplanned depreciation posting to the incorrect expense account

When entering unplanned depreciation a user applies an expense account.    However when accounting is created the transaction has been charged to the depreciation expense account set on the asset category.    It appears that the seed SLAM has been set to over ride the expense account set by the user.   How can we enter unplanned depreciation so that it is charges to the required expense account.
