Anyone have an example of how Vertex/JDE is calculating old setup?

I can not manually calculate back to how JDE payroll is calculating Federal Taxes for the old setup.  Employee Marital status is M with 8 exemptions.  I can figure out what tax table its using nor can I figure out the amount its using for Federal Exemptions.
