I need to upgrade my Oracle Linux install from 7.3 to 7.4 or greater to install Oracle Database 19c.

I am at Oracle Linux 7.3 and need to upgrade to Oracle Linux 7.4 or greater to install Oracle database 19c.  I've never updated to a newer release or Oracle Linux, I've only updated packages specifically.  I understand I can do the "yum update" and that will update all of my packages, is that the way to update to a newer release?  Can I update to only 7.4 or will I go to the newest Oracle Linux release with the "yum update"?

Can I see what the kernel version is for the updated release before I upgrade as I also need to be at a newer Kernel version for the Oracle 19c upgrade.

Howdy, Stranger!
