Is it possible to limit the absence types or categories enrolled by the Participation Process: Absen

We're currently using Oracle EBS v12.1.3 RUP11 (UK legislation) and have a requirement to restrict the absence types that are being picked up by the participation process: absence. 

The issue we're facing is that all absence life events are being processed by the participation process which is impacting the absence dates entered in the OSP element.  We can void the life events processed for annual  leave absences manually but this is not an efficient use of time.

For example, if an open ended sickness absence is entered and there is a future dated annual leave entry the process will populate the annual leave start date as the sickness absence end date.
