Error when trying to run Reporting and Analysis Framework reports

We recently started having issues trying to run reports through Excel and SmartView.  We are running IE11 with Java 8 update 221b11.  When we log into smartview and select reporting and analysis framework, select a report and try to open it, we immediately get an error "Unable to detect Browser Version".  Then if you click yes to continue to run scripts we get several other scripting errors.  I am thinking it has something to do with java as we recently pushed out a new version but I am unsure how to fix it.  Any suggestions would be most helpful.  Thank
