Comparison of Centrally Managed Users with Active Directory to NTS authentication
Hi,
Using 12c, we configure most users to use NTS authentication (aka Windows authentication aka Network authentication aka Operating System authentication). Our database installation and all clients are on Windows. The vast majority of our users have Active Directory identities.
As we go to 19c we have the option of switching to Centrally Managed Users with Active Directory. Is anyone aware of a comprehensive comparison of NTS vs the new Centrally Managed Users with Active Directory? I can see some benefits to CMU with AD (more immediate reaction to disabled accounts, managing group membership as well as individual user auth), but wonder if I am missing some points.
