Is this recommended to create a new element entry during payroll run

Hi All,

Please advise if it is recommended to create a new element entry during the payroll run, and  update another element entry if required, on the same current payroll period.

Please find the example scenario below,

If the Vacation_taken1 hours is more than a limit  update the Vacation_taken1 hours so that it will not corss the limit. Add the balance vacation hours from Vacation_taken1  to another element vacation_taken2.

Please advise.
