Enabling XA over DTP

Hello all,

I've been told by a vendor that to fix an issue we're having that I need to "enable DTP to allow all XA through DTP".

In looking this up, there's very little documentation that I can find about it, but it seems it's just adding a service via srvctl.

I don't want to harm our existing RAC environments in doing a change I know little about so I wanted to ask the community.

Have you done this before?

If so, what were the ramifications?
