Unable to change the project task number

Hi Team,

I am trying to change the material task number in project task form ,But i am unable to change because of below error.

"There are supplier invoice distribution lines for this task "

The material task is distributed to a PO and the PO is in cancelled in a week of booking.Please let me know whether the task number change is possible?
