Restoring database from an RMAN backup taken on OEL 6 to RHEL 6 or RHEL7

Hi,

I need to restore a database from a backup taken on exadata(OEL6) to a commodity server which is either RHEL 6 or 7. Do i need to do any conversion or i can simply restore and recover the database in this scenario? Also any known issues i need to be aware of?
