Xstore 17.0.3 - Viewport greyed out during prompt for Original return info

Hello,

I'm running Xstore v17.0.3 and am trying to determine what mechanism controls the greying out of the viewport and menu buttons when entering return mode in base v17.0.3. The reason I ask is in my custom version of Xstore we use the quick key tab as our first tab to sell items. When we enter return mode and are at the form where you enter original transaction information, if you click outside of the text fields, you can end up triggering a quick key. I suspect this is because the viewport and menu buttons are not greyed out, which I
