DBPSU 11.2.0.4.200114 provides MES415. How do I activate (eg) SHA256 in sqlnet.ora?

Greetings,

I am trying to implement FIPS 140-2 over my sqlnet connections to the 11.2.0.4 database.

I can already use AES256 for encryption.

Next is getting the checksum from SHA1 to SHA256.

Of course, just typing it into the sqlnet.ora works, but when I try to make the connection the trace file shows that the SHA256 is read and an error is logged and the connection failed.

My basis for thinking that this should work is the following from doc TLS 1.2 in Oracle Database and MES415 (Doc ID 2274242.1)

"All releases of supported Oracle DB releases and platforms now have MESv415 available through PSUs – 12.1.0.2 July 2018 DB PSU and 11.2.0.4 Oct 2018 DB PSU contain MESv415."

Howdy, Stranger!
