Is argument "-updatestyles" a must when new dimension needs to be display in a worksheet

Hi experts,

My RPAS version is 13.2.2.37

There are two measures which base intersections are changed from "mnth" to "mnth_plca", "plca" is "Planning Channel" in Product hierarchy.

I updated configuration as below:

But the new dimension "plca" was not showing up until I patched the domains with argument "-updatestyles".

I had similar change before but new dim displayed well without "-updatestyles".

The problem is "-updatestyles" overrides users customized styles which is sort of impact on business.

Does anyone know how to trouble shoot and make new dim being visible without "-updatestyles".
