How to archive the Old absence so that they disappear from approval monitor.

Hello All,

I am using enterprise components >>  approval monitor to approve some absences. The problem is, the approval monitor when searched, displays all the absences (approved, pending, or denied). This in turn slows down the result process. Is there anyway I can make the year old absences of any status disappeared ?

Any help would be great.
