changing asset life and spreading the remaining depreciation on the remaining new life

God Day Dears,

I have financial modules implemented, 6 years back, EBS ver 12.1

I have recently finished the fixed assets module setup, and uploaded the assets using webadi (all assets old and new from date placed in service in the 1960s to 2020)

before upload I have closed all old periods to JAN 2020, so I can upload all assets over all years.

after upload, the finance department gave me information that starting from (April,2014) life in years for some asset categories has been changed, and they gave me the new lives .

the rule is : if the asset was fully depreciated before April 2014 no change is needed, if the asset was partially depreciated by this date, I have to adjust the remaining life and spread the remaining amount to be depreciated on the remaining new life , I am using STL depreciation method for all assets.
