Data Guard standby RAC instances error "MRP: Lock acquisition timeout for thread X sequence Y" when

Hi all,

We have a problem with several Data Guard standby databases with 2 RAC instances. When we start both instances at the same time, both instances try to archive the same redo sequences received from primary, and fail with lock acquisition timeout. We can see the instances conflict in the trace logs, which show the very same error messages, pointing to the same thread and sequences, at the same time, in both instances:

MRP: Lock acquisition timeout for thread X sequence Y
