Recover vacation days when there is an overlapping sick absence

I read in the documentation that is possible to recover vacation days when there is an overlappinng sickness absence. It also says that there is needed a defined rule in order to make this possible. However, I couldn´t be able to find this configuration in order to recover vacation days
