More information about Purging Posting Tables in Student Financials

We have recently been looking into running the Purge Posting Tables process in Student Financials (Student Financials> Charges and Payments> Group Post> Purge Posting Tables), but we are curious what the pros and cons are of running this process? Do you have any tips and tricks for archiving this information or other tables in general? Did this help free up space on just the QUICK_POST_TBL or did it provide other benefits? Were there any impacts to other tables after this process was run? Thanks for any and all information!
