Options to Synchronize FDMEE Artifacts

Hi FDMEE Experts ,

FDMEE 11.1.2.4

I have a requirement to synchronize FDMEE Artifacts for a specific HFM Target Application from Production to Test.It is important to perform this synch without impacting  any  other FDMEE Artifacts that points to other Target Applications.Please suggest options to do this activity.

Based on my analysis so far,

1. LCM Export of Production FDMEE Articats to Test wouldn't work as it migrates with Merge Mode.

2. Manually deleting the FDMEE Artifacts like Load Rules , Mappings , Locations etc in Test are time consuming as there too many of them for that particular Target Application.

Questions :

1. If I delete the specific Target Application in Test FDMEE, would it delete the corresponding FDMEE Artifacts (Load Rules , Mappings , Locations etc) associated to that Target Application as well? So I can then LCM Import from Prod to Test?
