Asset Transaction Type

Dear All,

Assets super user is asking:

In DEC-19 using Assets==>Capitalize CIP Assets window; we Capitalized asset#3297. In Transaction History Window; it records this transaction as Addition, in Asset Financial window; under Cost History tab; it records all transaction in DEC-19 as CIP Adjustment; although it should be Adjustment? is this normal behavior and why ? does assets considered effective date for this transaction should be in next period JAN-20?

We need explanation for this.

We are using EBS 12.1.2.
