EM 13c r2 Oracle Virtual Infrastructure - Separate Node and Guest VM agents

Hello,

We are using EM 13c r2 with the Oracle Virtualization Plugin to manage two PCA-OVM environments. All guest VMs in the those environments visible to and managed by our OEM instance, as are the PCAs. My question is this...should additional EM agents be deployed to the guest VMs, compute nodes, and management nodes to manage applications, databases, etc?

I'm thinking the answer is "yes" but I would like to know what others are doing in this space.
