Use of tools release features such as AIS for GL imports?

We have various import methods setup  for GL transactions from external sources, the solutions have been built over the years and we have a mix bag of methodologies/processes that include, f table conversions, FME,  custom UBEs  etc.

I am working on a project to streamline these processes, and take advantage of some of the features of the tools release offer. 

wondering if anyone has used the features of the new latest tools release such as AIS?

Application JDE 9.2

Tools 9.2.2.4

plan to upgrade to the latest tools/apps in the next 1 - 11/2 years
