Payment Process Request Templates Error

When going through our payment process request and submitting a single payment process request our program errors out on the "Format Payment Instructions with Text Output" with the error below. Our admin recently applied our quarterly CPU patches. Everything works fine in our other environments. Has anyone else experienced this and found a fix? I have an SR in, but sometimes I get faster results from the community.

Error: an error occurred during formatting. Please verify the template is valid.

oracle.apps.iby.exception.PSException: Internal Error to Payment Server: For input string: "null"

at oracle.apps.iby.engine.ExtractFormatter.applyFormat(ExtractFormatter.java:150)
