Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. MOSC will now require that member accounts in our community be associated to a *corporate* email address. Can Journal_t be purged without purging Item_t ?

Hi,

We have partitioned Journal_t. It has monthly partitions. On the other hand , Item_t is not partitioned.

we want to purge few old partitions from Journal_t. Item_t can not be purged as its not yet partitioned.

Are there any implications of purging journal_t's partitions without doing anything for Item_t ?
