Removing HTML format for template does not remove the '&nbsp'

Hi,

Siebel version: 8.1.1.7 and also 16.0

View: All Templates view of the Communications screen - > My Template -> Editing an email template in HTML format.

I have an email template containing different HTML tags and also the code ' &nbsp'. The ' ' cand be created when entering a "space" using the HTML editor and saving the template afterwards.

When un-cheking the box "HTML Format" and saving, the text is transformed in plain text and all the HTML tags are removed from the template text except the '&nbsp '.

Is anybody aware of any workaround to also remove the '&nbsp ' when transforming the HTML to plain text for a template?
