P4210 new P.O. to automatically Populate schedule pick date - business case

Dear MOSC,

We’ve been testing the new P4210 processing option

Tab : ‘7 – Process’

Option : ’20 – automatically Populate schedule pick date’.

I’d like to submit an incident on the subject.

If the sales order requested date is > the next item ATP date, then the system sets *back* the schedule pick date = the lowest ATP date, which ends up to override the initial customer requested date to an earlier delivery

– case unacceptable in a lot of businesses

What are your thoughts on this topic? Should I raise an SR to have this function amended?
