Fixed asset Depreciation - Nte Book value or Cost

When we run the Depriciation (R12855) how is the cost calculated. Is it the Net book value or the total cost

E.g. for asset 470296 The NBV is 86981.62

But when we run the Depriciation it takes the cost as $608148.05
