OCOM False device down alerts.
On some of our devices OCOM (EOM) is reporting the device down.
I have checked and all monitored IP addresses are up and pingable.
Looking at documentation it refers to alarm raised on device not receiving data.
Is it possible that Out of Service Session agents that are on the device could be the cause of such an alarm.
Also. Would you recommend that if a session agent is going to be down for a known period of time, it would be better to disable the session agent ?
