Lease master overlapping

We are setting up lease master info in P1501 in E1 9.2. Typically our leases are setup for 1 year at a time for each building. For example if we setup a lease for the team 1/1/18-12/31/18 for building "BLDG1", then we renew the lease with a new lease number for the same building "BLDG1" for the period 1/1/19-12/31/19. However if a user has incorrectly setup the lease term for as 1/7/18-6/30/19 thereby creating overlapping dates between 1/7/18-12/31/18, will the system validate that the lease term for each buildings shoudnt overlapping with an existing lease?
