Version control system with Siebel IP17 and latest update

Dear Siebel experts,

We recently migrated/upgraded from Siebel 8.1.1.9 to Siebel IP17  + update 20.1. With the previous version, we used to use a version control system (svn) in order to track history od changed objects.

However, with the latest Siebel version, I haven't found that possibility. So, is there any possibility automatically track the changes as it was during check-out/check-in.

Od course the answer might be using workspaces, but we don't want to keep many integration workspaces due to performance issues and also with the short time it looks messy in the workspace explorer.

I will be grateful for any advice.
