Can Retest Date is automatice updated after sample disposition

For OPM Quality Management. When we finish a sample for lot retest, lot status is changed from hold to pass , but retest date is remain the same date. I think it will be automatic reset new retest date by plus the current date with retest interval date. What I think is correct ?
