Reservation for WIP material requirements for Items and quantities

Hello,

We are using Depot Repair and is using non-standard WIP job for processing repairs. Want to check if we have any functionality to put reservation on items and quantities when user make material  requirement(demand) for WIP job, so that the item and quantities are not consumed/reserved by  other transaction like Sales Order, subinventory transfer etc.

Any pointers or insight on this is really appreciated.
