Using a field added via form extension in a cafe1

I probably already know the answer but will ask anyway. If you add a field via Form Extension, can you use that field as a dynamic link in Cafe1. I have tried it to no avail but thought

I would check and see if I am just doing something wrong. We are 9.2 apps 9.2.3.5 tools
