ASCP Inventory Use Up Date
I am looking for guidance on what other people see from ASCP in regards to "Inventory Use Up Date". Below is the definition from Oracle:
The use-up date determines when the current on-hand quantity for an item is exhausted based on projected gross requirements. This date is calculated for all items during the planning process. Oracle Master Scheduling/MRP and Supply Chain Planning calculates the use-up date by applying any on-hand quantity in inventory (supply) against any gross requirements (demand). The planning process does not consider schedule receipts or repetitive schedules as supply when calculating the use-up date.
Next is a screen grab from the Horizontal plan along with the item information showing "Use Up Date". I am trying to understand why ASCP is giving a one day lag for the Use Up Date? This behavior is consistent across numerous items when reviewed. Historically we have never really used this ASCP information but in light of the Coronavirus impacts to many of our suppliers we are trying to use this information as it does not take into account any scheduled receipts as we are unclear at this time how many of those scheduled receipts will really happen.
