How to use Blank or Space in either Input or Output in AIS Cross Reference

Hi Experts,

I was wondering if we can create a Create a Cross Reference component which can translate to or from Blank?

Simple Example

Array of 2 columns (Adress # , Search Type)

We need to translate Search Type such that

If input is 'Blank' then Output = 'XX'

If Input is ZZ then Output = 'P'

Is this possible using Cross Reference in Orchestrator Studio or Is there any workaround?
