Setup or enable Descriptive Flexfield (DFF) values in the recurring journals

Is anyone using DFF on recurring journals? Have a need to track additional data elements for recurring journals. Need help how to enable or use this functionality in R12.2.7.

Have seen document back from 1999 for enhancements

The need to have the DFF information from the recurring journal template created with the created journal is requested in two

Enhancements:

Enhancement: Bug 1042665 VALUES OF DFF AT GLXRJDEF ARE NOT TRANSFERRED TO THAT OF JOURNAL LINES:

and

Enhancment Bug 5762426 - WHILE GENERATING A RECURRING JE, LINES DFF SELECTIONS DOESN'T APPEAR IN FINAL JE
